1. Click on Settings located on top right corner of the Mahara site to edit your account settings
2. Edit general account options by changing your preferences on Friends control, HTML editor, Email, Messages from other users, etc.
3. Click on Notifications to edit your communication preferences in a drop-down menu under each item (you can choose to receive frequent emails, a regular email digest, or messages in your Mahara Inbox).
4. Under Institution Membership, your default membership (Teachers College, Columbia University) can be changed only if you want to leave the TC community.
