iPads and eBooks, WMA files and iPhones

Usually, when I get a question that I can't answer during a class, I can find find the answer within 24 hours and post it here.  That's not true this time, and if you are reading this and have the answers to any of these questions, feel free to answer them in the Comments below or send me email.  Here are the questions:
1.  How do I put a free eBook onto my iPad?  Responding by saying "Get it from the iTunes Store" doesn't count.  Suppose I download a copy of a SciFi novel to my PC from Baen Books.  How can I get that to my iPad?
Answer:  It turns out there is a pretty simple answer.  More than one, in fact.  If you browse to:
you will see Project Gutenberg's advice on this.  It pertains mostly to getting Project Gutenberg titles onto your iPad.  But there is another link that suggests a way to get any DRM-free EPUB file into your iBooks library on your iPad.  Here it is:
 
2.  Can I download a WMA Audiobook to my directly to my iPhone? 
Answer:  As of 12-16-2010, the answer is No.
