During our grade 11 English year, we were required to complete a full analysis and teach a lesson on a Canadian poem of our choice. The poem that I chose was "Grandfather" by Canadian author George Bowering and I really had fun with this activity. The analysis part was really challenging, but once that was done the whole assignment was a breeze. I really enjoyed taking the role of a teacher and it wasn't as intimidating as I thought. However, I have to acknowledge the fact that this assignment required me to put in a lot of time and effort. So let's all take a moment and appreciated the work of our teachers!
