8:00-11:30

  • Objective:  increased confidence & exposure to web 2.0 tools, encouraging self learning & use in the classroom.
  • Introducing the Book, plus discussion – new technologies, conceptual vs. procedural learning
  • What is Web 2.0?
  • Small group / independent work sessions based on interests.
    • Groups pick 1 technology to investigate (picking order is chosen Randomly)
    • See list below
    • Assignment:  Technology Questions
    • Assignment: Create an artifact on the site and present your findings to the group.  Demonstrate the content you created and be prepared to answer questions.  You may use any presentation software or method you choose.  Present ideas for using the tool in your classroom and include at least 2 ways that you will implement it for observation.

  • Second work session based on interests. Investigate more web 2.0 technologies.

  • Discussion of Memes and channeling such ideas & “stickiness” in the classroom.
