Welcome to Music at M.H.R.

Dear Parents of Most Holy Rosary:

This year’s spring concert will be Wednesday, May 10th at 6:30 pm in the lower church.  Students should arrive by 6:15 and meet in the back of the lower church.  They will sit with their teacher and class until they go onstage.  If students arrive before 6:15 they must remain with their family until their teacher arrives.  All classes perform in the All School Concert.

Concerts are considered part of the student’s music participation grade.  If your child is ill, please leave a message on the school answering service that evening.  We take attendance by class in the auditorium and we will hold the concert in anticipation of the student’s arrival. The band will perform first, followed by our chorus.

Following the finale we will make time to have pictures taken for each class.  Flash cameras are highly discouraged during the performance, but welcomed at the end of the show.  Refreshments will be served in the Parish Center.

This year’s concert is about Empowerment, and feeling good about yourself.

The students were familiar with many of the songs we are singing and we have added our own lyrics and movements to make the songs more personal to them.  The students may wear khaki shorts, or pants and sneakers. They may also choose a top/shirt that represent who they are.  (Ex.  A favorite sports team, their costume from a dance recital, or their favorite shirt.  Michaels Craft store in Fairmount has very inexpensive shirts that students could purchase and write or sketch something that represents them.)

If you have any questions feel free to call me at 476-6035 or email me at bholzhauer@syrdiocese.org.

This is a very relaxed and fun Concert.

Your children are a joy to work with, and I know you will enjoy their performance!

Sincerely,

Barbara Holzhauer
