A warm welcome to all our new families who began their journey with us at Villa Maria Catholic school. Congratulations to all our new Kindergarten children who began their time at ‘BIG school’ last Wednesday. They have all settled in so well and it is a joy to see so many happy and enthusiastic children.

Villa Maria welcomes the following new staff members: Mrs Walker (Year 6 teacher); Mrs Cricelli (Year 2 Class teacher); Mrs Pisani (Year 5 Teacher part time); Mrs Niedzwiecki (Year 3 Teacher part time); Mrs Lane (Learning Assistant); Mrs Ryan (Learning
Assistant). Thank you to all our teachers for your professionalism and dedication that you bring to our school.

Each year as part of our Strategic Plan the staff discuss and identify our Annual Improvement Goals. This year we will be focusing on the following
  • Strengthening of the Religious Education curriculum
  • Development of teaching and learning in grammar, writing skills, STEAM (STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking).
  • Gifted Education
  • Whole school Wellbeing program
We also look forward to celebrating 150 years of Catholic primary school education in Hunters Hill. To mark this special occasion, many celebratory events are planned to take place, so please keep posted for more information to come throughout the year.
