There was only Green to be seen on Friday the 12th of August as we celebrated our MacKillop Mission Day. At our morning assembly Sister Connie, a Josephite Sister, spoke to us about Mary MacKillop and gave us a brief explanation of her life.

We would like to thank all the children from MacKillop House who brought in cakes or lollies to help raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society. We all worked together as a school by bringing in socks, beanies and scarves to help warm the homeless on these chilly winter nights. Altogether we collected 147 beanies, 106 scarfs and 774 pairs of socks which an amazing total of 1027 items.

We especially congratulate 5W, the winning class for donating 133 items. Great effort everyone! With the yummy treats we sold at morning tea we were able to raise $1170.00. What an achievement! Once again thank you all for making the day special and such a success.
