Have you heard about Compass?

Compass is a cloud-based program that will eventually be rolled out in all Primary and Secondary schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney over the next 4 years.

It is a New South Wales Government requirement that all absences from school are explained by the students’ parents/carers. When students have an unexplained full day absence, a letter will be sent home. Please complete and sign the Reason for Absence form and return it to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible.

On Thursday the 23rd of August we will be opening the Parent Portal and you will have access to parts of Compass. Not every area of Compass is currently set up and operating. Modules will be progressively opened throughout this year and next.

Parents will initially be able to view their child’s attendance and provide reasons why their child is absent or late. You will be able to see any relevant news items such as the school calendar and Newsletters. In Term 4 you will be able to access your child’s reports on the Compass Parent Portal.

Parent Information Sessions about Compass will occur on Wednesday the 22nd of August at 6.15pm (please note change in time) in the Library and Thursday the 23rd of August at 8am in the Father Kevin Bates Creative Arts Room. These sessions will be facilitated by Claudine McAloon and Michelle Virgona.
