Chris O'Brien LifeHouse Care Packs

posted 8 Aug 2018, 19:46 by Michelle Virgona
Villa Maria have been keeping Mr Turner in their thoughts and prayers over the last few months. Some students asked what would be a practical thing they could do, to support him and others going through treatments. After some research the Year 5 students wrote some letters of request to companies who have supportive and donated products specifically for these treatments.

The Year 5 students decided to make up some care packages for patients seeking radiation and chemotherapy treatment at the Chris O'Brien LifeHouse and RPA. They made nearly 150 packs to donate. The students also wrote letters to patients who will receive these packs. We are so very proud of the sentiments that have been expressed by these thoughtful and caring children.

On Monday Ruby, Hannah and Sarah (Year 5) delivered the care packs to the LifeHouse on behalf of Year 5 and surprised Mr Turner. Mrs Gail O'Brien was on hand to greet the girls and welcome them to LifeHouse. She was delighted with the beautiful packs that were made by the students at Villa Maria. Well done!
