Last Thursday on the 24th of May we had Chanel Mission Day, everyone wore crazy hair and a touch of purple. To start off the day we began with a morning assembly about St Peter Chanel and his life growing up. During assembly we had Fr Paul come and talk to us about Marist Missions. They help poor kids and adults in poverty or people who have been rejected by their families and are alone or on the streets. Marist Missions help in several different countries and help with educating people of all ages.

At recess, the generous donations of food from the Chanel families helped to make it a fun and yummy morning tea with extraordinary baked goods and other yummy foods. After lunch the Chanel leaders went to each class to tell and show the students about St Peter Chanel’s life. Then Years 4-6 participated in a Kahoot while K - Year 3 participated in a quiz. The top 3 people with the highest scores in their class were then awarded with a lollie or a chocolate. We also awarded the people with the most crazy hair in their class. All our donations are given the charity Marist Missions.
