For Parents

Parents and Friends Association

We encourage parents in our school community to become involved in our school and there is no better way than through the Parents and Friends Association (P & F).

The P & F meets once a term and through it's various committees, endeavours to support the school in providing a wonderful learning environment for the children of our school. Being part of the P & F creates the opportunity to meet with other parents and friends whilst assisting your child's school change and grow.

P & F Association general meetings are held in Week 5 of each term on the Monday evening at 7:00pm. The meetings are held in the hall. Notice of the meeting is given in the newsletter in Week 2. Parents wishing to raise an item to be discussed during general business are to forward an email to the P & F by the end of Week 3. The agenda is formulated at the P & F executive meeting in Week 4 and published with the newsletter distributed in Week 4. All parents are encouraged to attend P & F meetings.

The P & F Association actively supports all of the school organised fundraising events and usually organises a major fundraising event each year. In recent years the major fundraiser has been a Trivia Night. Funds are also raised for the school through the Canteen and the Uniform Shop.

Being Involved

All parents are encouraged to be active members of the P & F Association. Involvement can range from holding an executive position on the association committee, to being part of a sub-committee, attending meetings, helping at working bees or attending P & F organised events.

Social Events

The P & F Association organises a variety of social events. Examples of events in recent years include:

  • Welcome BBQ
  • Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day Breakfasts
  • Trivia Night
  • Morning Tea for special events
