Japanese Cultural Day

posted 5 Nov 2019, 16:03 by Jennifer Crippin
The students from Years 3-6 had 2 wonderful days of immersion into the Japanese culture. The students participated in various activities including origami, word writing, chop-stick racing and much more. Yr4 and Yr5 students also participated in a very special ‘Tea Ceremony’. Thank you to Katy Gilles, our Japanese expert from Sydney Catholic Schools for facilitating both days. The students were very engaged and thoroughly enjoyed all activities.

Japanese was one of the best learning programs that I have ever participated in. The way of learning was great and everyone really got into the Japanese lifestyle. Its unique learning style made a very complicated language fun and easy to learn. Katy Sensei had really fun activities to test what we learnt. It was a very enjoyable experience.   Jamie P
