A very happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers! May the Lord bless them with peace and happiness for the blessing that
they are to us! We also pray for our mothers who have journeyed to the Lord! May is the month we especially remember and honour Mary, our good mother, She is for us a wonderful companion in our pilgrimage of faith. Let us ask her to help us imitate the trust and openness she had to the Lord. Like her, each of us has been blessed with a special vocation from the Lord. May Mary pray for us that we, like her, have hearts that are open to the ‘whispers of the spirit’ as we strive together to proclaim the resurrection!

Easter Treats for the Homeless

posted 13 May 2014, 18:45 by maria.sabio@syd.catholic.edu.au   [ updated 13 May 2014, 18:50 ]

In Term 1, some students and families from our school baked yummy treats for the homeless people on the street.

During Easter those yummy treats were given to people who are less fortunate than us so they would feel special and know that other people care about them.

Mini Vinnie’s gives a lot of support by remembering the homeless people throughout the year.

We would like to thank all of our St Martha’s families for spending time thinking about others and almsgiving during the Lenten season.

We would like to thank St Martha’s families who have put their compassion into action this Lent by supporting the Caritas Project Compassion appeal. Please return any remaining Project Compassion boxes you may have to the school as soon as possible.

God Bless,
Miss Pagano
