For Parents

St Martha’s P & F Association offers an opportunity for parents to gather and become involved in the life of the school. No membership fee is payable.

  • assisting the Principal and teaching staff in improving the educational standards of the students by raising funds for the material support of the school
  • conferring with the Principal and Parish Priest in matters relative to the religious and educational needs of the school
  • providing a forum for parents and carers to become familiar with current educational trends and issues
  • providing a forum where matters relating to the education and development of students can be discussed productively

The Association's constitution provides for an elected executive committee comprising up to 6 people, including the Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary, as well as the Principal who is an ex-officio member.

Membership of the executive and subcommittees is open to all members of the Association. Subcommittees report back to the executive committee at the Association’s general meetings. Fundraising and welcoming subcommittee meets regularly to plan and organise activities. General P & F meetings and the Executive P & F meetings are held once a term. The Annual General Meeting and election of the new executive is held later in the year.

A supply of second hand uniforms are available for sale once a month. Donations of second hand uniforms will be gratefully accepted in the school office.

Nut Free School

Anaphylaxis is a severe sudden allergic reaction which is potentially life threatening and always requires an emergency response. We have children in our school who have a severe allergic reaction to nuts. St Martha’s School is a nut free zone, this means that no food containing peanuts are to be brought to school with the children for morning tea or lunchtime.
