Principal's Message

Welcome to our school - St Mark’s Catholic Primary School. We are a Catholic co-educational systemic primary school located in the heart of Drummoyne and have a close relationship with St Mark’s Parish. As part of the Sydney Catholic Archdiocese, St Mark’s has a proud tradition of educational excellence.

As you journey through our website, I hope you experience a strong sense of collaboration, participation and community we enjoy with families, which is inspired by our motto "Live the Gospel". Our primary focus is to nurture students and support them as they grow in their Catholic faith and develop their full potential as life-long learners. It is a privilege to share with the parents this special role of educating children in the many facets of human and faith development.

At St Mark’s we provide a range of educational programs, learning experiences and strategies to support student centred learning which is intended to address different learning needs, interests, aspirations and cultural backgrounds of our students.  We also allow a range of extra curricular activities designed to develop new skills or enhance existing skills in order to further develop and challenge our students.

In addition to offering highly skilled and experienced staff, a large and well equipped playground, well ventilated and comfortable class rooms, we ensure that our teaching practices are responsive to the ever changing digital and technological landscape to which our children have access.

Parents form a very integral role in assisting us to develop the children. There are many opportunities for parent involvement including volunteering, Parents and Friends attendance and involvement in our largest fund raising event for the school, our Easter School Fete.

As a learning community,  St Mark’s is a place where students have high expectations, a love of learning, develop friendships and have a positive sense of well being.

I invite you to learn more about our wonderful school by exploring our website.
