Curriculum

We provide excellent education in Religious Education and in the six Key Learning Areas (KLAs) designated by the NSW Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards (BOSTES):

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Human Society and Its Environment
  • Science and Technology
  • Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
  • Creative Arts.

The focus of our teaching is on meeting the individual learning needs of each child and providing a range of learning experiences, both within and outside the school.

The school presently employs ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers, a Reading Recovery teacher, Special Education teachers, a specialist Music/Drama teacher and a PE teacher.

Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard, computers and printer. Seven mobile computer labs are shared amongst grades/stages.

A modern and up-to-date library/resource centre and multipurpose room are well utilised as centres for learning.

Sport

Students participate in one hour a week of physical activity.

Athletics and Swimming Carnivals are held in Terms 2 and 4 respectively. A two-week intensive swimming program is provided.

Students have the opportunity to participate in a school choir and dance groups.

Parents play a vital role in the life of our school and we encourage their involvement in their children’s education.
