About Us

Our School

St John Vianney is a Catholic primary school and is part of the parish of St John Vianney and St Thomas More, Greenacre. It is one of 147 systemic Catholic schools administered by the Catholic Education Office (CEO) on behalf of the Archbishop of Sydney, and caters for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6. We also have a transition program through our St John Vianney Juniors' Playgroup for children in the year before they start Kindergarten.

The primary purpose of Catholic education is twofold:

  • to support the Church's mission to help parents to bring up their children in the Catholic faith.
  • to provide a sound comprehensive education.

Children from families who are prepared to support Catholic ideals and principles may be considered eligible for enrolment in a Catholic school. As a Catholic school, priority for enrolment is given to children from local Catholic families. Depending on enrolment numbers, some places may be available for Catholics from other parishes.

At St John Vianney we provide a secure and happy learning environment. Our committed and professional teachers make themselves available to parents for discussion about their children's progress.
