About Us

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational systemic school located in Riverwood and is an integral part of St Joseph’s Parish and we work closely with the Parish Priest.

The school draws the majority of its students from the Riverwood, Peakhurst and Lugarno areas. We maintain a good reputation in the local area and the school is noted for being a welcoming community.

The school caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and has a current enrolment of three hundred and thirty-one students. The enrolment trends of recent years show a steady, constant growth. Students attending this school come from a variety of backgrounds and nationalities. Seventy-five per cent come from a language other than English speaking background.

The parents are highly involved and committed to supporting school initiatives. Parents help in the classrooms in different Key Learning Areas, accompany classes on excursions, attend class and school Masses and organise significant events including Mother’s and Father’s Day. Class parents provide support for families and opportunities for social events.
