From the Principal

My name is Mrs Carol Luc and I am delighted to welcome you to St Joseph's Primary School.

I share the leadership of this school with our pastor Fr Andrew James and Leadership Team members. The teaching staff of our school plays an integral part in the leadership of our school and has a key role in policy and programme formation and evaluation.

As a school community we strive to provide a contemporary teaching and learning environment, recognising the challenges and demands of today's society and future skill requirements of tomorrow's young citizens.

We actively look for opportunities to engage our parent, parish and wider community in the day to day life of the school.

We hope to inspire our students to recognise their role in bringing the face of Jesus Christ into their relationships with others and develop tolerance and understanding of the needs of those who are disadvantaged, sick and elderly. Our school motto 'Charity and Love' guides us in this belief and underpinned by our reverence to the life and model of service of Australia's first Saint, Blessed Mary MacKillop and St Joseph, Jesus' earthly father and first teacher we are called to share our Christian values of hope, love and faith with our students.

At St Joseph's we are committed to providing a learning environment where all members of the community are respected and nurtured in their learning endeavours and encouraged to discover new talents and interests. Students are provided with a variety of learning experiences from public speaking to sporting and dance opportunities.

We value the contribution of parents who assist the school in many ways. We have an active Parent Fundraising/Social Committee and Parent Curriculum Committee who meet regularly throughout the year providing support and feedback on a range of issues and school events.

This website will give you an opportunity to see the type of educational possibilities we offer here at St Joseph's.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

With kind regards,

Carol Luc
Principal
