For Students

St Joseph’s School is very focused on student voice.

Student Welfare

The school endeavours to promote a healthy supportive and secure environment for all children. Student welfare is a shared responsibility between home, school and the community. The school has implemented programs to encourage positive social behaviours and problem solving skills. These programs include: Buddies, Peer Support, Playground Assist, Student Awards and Principal awards.

Student Leaders

As important members of the school community, students are valued for the contributions they can make to the school. Leadership potential is encouraged and supported.

The School Leadership Team comprises of two school captains, 2 vice captains and 8 sport captains. Every class also has a student voted to be part of the Student Representative Council each term. Examples of the responsibilities of the School Leadership Team and SRC are: helping with the weekly assembly, promoting social justice issues and leading whole school health hustles.

Interschool Activities

The students are encouraged to participate in extra curricula activities with other schools. All extra curricula activities are optional and provide for a range of different interests.
