School Profile

St Joseph’s Primary School, Oatley was established in 1953 conducted by the Sisters of St Joseph. Initial enrolment of the school was 75 pupils. Major extensions to the school buildings were officially opened in 1972. The sisters withdrew from Oatley at the end of 1979 and the school was placed under lay administration. Primary classrooms and administration were completed in 2004. As part of the "Building the Education Revolution" program in 2011, a spacious library extension and contemporary infant classrooms were refurbished and a multi-purpose hall, with offices, toilets and soft-fall play area was constructed


At St Joseph’s we are fortunate to have some wonderful facilities and resources available to students. In addition to our Technology resources we also boast a state-of-the-art library and "Inquiring Minds" space with a focus on STEM. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
