For Parents

Parents are a vital component to a successful school. Parent involvement contributes to the building of school community, and helps to create a happy learning environment for our students.

From your home you can assist your child by:

  • reading to and with children
  • monitoring and helping with computer work
  • supervising and encouraging homework.

In the classroom you can assist the teachers and students by:

  • helping to supervise on excursions
  • covering library books and making teaching resources
  • attending class and school events
  • volunteering in the classrooms or as a Multi-Lit tutor
  • sharing your expertise or knowledge in class.

In the school you can assist the good management of the school by:

  • participating in the Friends of Arc Association
  • participating in Principal Advisory Committees on Enrolments, Finance and Workplace Health and Safety
  • participating in parent/teacher communication interviews and student reporting.
