Excursions and Incursions

These are learning experiences outside or inside the classroom situation that contribute to the growth and development of the children. They provide opportunities for the children to experience things in the wider community and thus reinforce and supplement the school curriculum.

An educational excursion / incursion relates directly to the school curriculum and forms part of the complete sequence of a unit of school work. At this school, such excursions/ incursions may range from short walks about the local district to full day visits to places which offer specialised information or experiences.

Permission forms are essential for your child to attend any excursion. A signed consent form must be returned to the school prior to the excursion otherwise your child will not be allowed to attend.
