For Students

Student Welfare

The school actively promotes a healthy, supportive and secure environment for all children. Student welfare is a shared responsibility between home, school and the community. The school has implemented programs to encourage positive social behaviours and problem-solving skills. These programs include Restorative Justice, buddies, Anti-Bullying, Student Awards and Environmental Stewardship.

Student Leaders

As important members of the school community, students are valued for the contributions they can make to the school. Leadership potential is encouraged and supported.

Student leaders are voted for by the students each year. Two students in Year 6 are voted in as School Captains. Students also vote for House Colour Captains. As well, each class (Years 3-6) votes for Student Representative Council members. These students are involved in a variety of school activities such as weekly assemblies, sport carnivals, fundraising and outreach programs, committees and delivering special occasion addresses. Importantly, our student leaders are given the responsibility to make decisions and plan strategies for whole school improvement. This enables them to develop high levels of leadership skills, not just simply respond to directions. We are proud of the leadership skills our students display.
