Principal's Message
Welcome to the website of St Francis de Sales Catholic Primary School, Woolooware.
We are a co-educational one stream Catholic systemic primary school, situated in the Sutherland Shire of the Archdiocese of Sydney. Our teachings are based on the life of Jesus Christ and enlivened by Gospel values. Our parish community is led by Rev Dr Thomas Carroll. We belong to the Parish of St Aloysius Gonzaga, Cronulla and have a strong relationship with our sister school St Aloysius. We are inspired by the spirit of St Francis de Sales and our school community is warm, respectful and focused on quality relationships.
In the spirit of St Francis de Sales, empowering our students for the future...
The students at St. Francis de Sales enjoy learning in a contemporary educational setting which supports our vision for learning. We are committed to motivating and engaging students to be passionate life-long learners. Our school motto in “friendship and service” is reflected and lived out in words and actions. Our students thrive in a learning community of trust, friendship, pride and purpose.
Our dedicated staff are vibrant and supportive leaders who work collaboratively to deliver student-centred, quality teaching across the school. They reflect a professional learning culture which is focused on growth in the community. Our community strives for academic excellence and teachers draw upon a range of experiences and data to meet the specific needs of all students. They are committed to ensuring that every student receives the very best opportunities through an engaging curriculum. We offer specialist teachers in the areas of Special Needs, Reading Recovery, Gifted Education, Visual Arts and Physical Education. We have a BYOD Programme operating from Years 4-6 as well as a range of additional technology and devices to support contemporary learning. This includes interactive whiteboards, laptops, tablets and other mobile devices. Some of the many extra-curricular opportunities are offered through St Francis de Sales are Art and Vocal Enrichment, Band, Sporting Gala Days, Chess Competitions, Book Week, Science Week and Environment Club.

Authentic learning experiences use real life inquiry processes which challenge the students creative and critical thinking skills and promote student success, empowering them for the future. Parents are provided and encouraged, with regular opportunities to work together in partnership in order to enhance student outcomes.
Our school has much to offer and I warmly invite you to look at our website for more information on the wonderful opportunities and programmes available here at St Francis de Sales.
At St Francis de Sales we are inspiring hearts and minds to wonder… think… create... learn...
