We are a one stream Catholic systemic primary school, situated in the Sutherland Shire of the Archdiocese of Sydney. We value our beautiful and serene school setting with contemporary classrooms which support our vision for learning. Our proactive community lives out the motto of friendship and service.
STFDS is staffed by highly skilled and enthusiastic teachers and support staff. They are committed to ensuring that every student receives the very best opportunities possible. Employing pedagogies that reflect the needs of our students and the world in which they live are part of the STFDS learning experience. As educators, we acknowledge that we share the responsibility of education with parents. Learning is a partnership and we will warmly welcome your participation and support.
Our school policies and procedures, our approach to pastoral care and the way that we relate to each other as members of a learning community reflects the Catholic values we hold. We are blessed to be supported by our Parish Priest, Rev Dr Thomas Carroll and our Assistant Priest Rev Fr Julian Belich. We belong to the Parish of St Aloysius Gonzaga Cronulla and have a strong relationship with our sister school.
I love this school and, even on days when I am ‘marooned’ in the office under a welter of paperwork, my spirits are constantly lifted by the passing parade of children who are always ready to greet me with a smile and a wave – where else could I experience this level of warmth?
Our new-look 2016 website will, I hope, reflect the dynamic nature of this very special STFDS community and I encourage you to take a good look and follow our unfolding story via this site.
