Parents and Friends

The Parents and Friends’ Association is a parent group established to support the school community through social and financial functions, and in facilitating the development of a parent and school partnership. We welcome and encourage all parents to become involved in the P&F meetings and initiatives held throughout the year. P&F meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each term.

St Bernard's P&F Association raises monies for the school by means of a parent levy that is paid over three school terms, as well as hosting a maximum of four fund raising events per year.

In addition to this, the P&F is committed to raising money for two nominated charities during the year. Two stalls are held:

  1. The Mothers Day Stall which supports the charity work of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, who are the founders of our school, and
  2. The Fathers Day Stall which supports the charity work of the local chapter of the St Vincent de Paul Society.

Our contribution to these charities is considered important because it is consistent with our Christian values and ethos; it puts our faith into practice.

The P& F Executive is elected by the parent body each year at the Annual General Meeting which is held during Term 4. The Executive consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer.

The following positions are also filled at this time: Fundraising Coordinator, Uniform Shop Coordinator and Canteen Coordinator.
