For Parents

At St Bernard’s, we aim to foster a positive relationship between home and school as we believe the benefits contribute to improvement in student learning outcomes.

As a parent, you are the first and most important teacher in leading your child into personal faith. We encourage parents to speak to their children about God and take them to Mass on a regular basis.

There is a high level of parental interest and involvement in the life of the school. Many parents assist in classrooms across a range of Key Learning Areas as well as with excursions and special events.

Facilities

St. Bernard's School enjoys a small, safe environment and is situated within walking distance to Booralee Park and Botany Aquatic Centre. The playground is wheelchair accessible and a Disabled Toilet is available. For parents, there is a School Drop-off zone in front of the school that is operational between 8am and 9.30am, as well as a Disabled Parking spot.

The playground contains many shaded areas for the students to enjoy as well as several handball courts, a netball court, a fairy garden, a car ramp and many other dedicated play areas.

All learning areas are bright, environmentally controlled (heating and cooling) and well maintained.
