School Tours: New parents are invited to take a guided school tour at this time led by Principal & student leaders. Current parents are warmly welcomed in classrooms.

Inner West Swimming Carnival 2019

Our students represented our school with pride at the Inner West Swimming Carnival on 20th February. Congratulations to all swimmers - personal bests all round! Good luck to those competing in the next round.

Peer Support Program - Term 1 
The Peer Support Program assists schools in achieving and maintaining a positive school culture. It empowers students to support each other and contribute positively to our school and community. Peer support caters for student wellbeing and helps to develop a supportive learning environment. It is a student-led multi age program which provides a fun and engaging environment for students to address social issues. It encourages peer connections throughout the school and assists students in developing practical skills to enhance social and emotional well-being and is an integral component of Year 6 student leadership.

Key outcomes of the program

  • Building positive relationships

  • Developing skills such as assertiveness, communication, empathy, decision making, conflict resolution and critical thinking

  • Enhancing mental health

  • Taking personal responsibility

  • Embracing lifelong learning

  • Encouraging participation

  • Developing leadership skills

Opening School Mass

Kindergarten start - Thursday 31 January.
Tea, Tissues & Tears in library until 10:30am.
New families (and old!) are warmly invited to our annual 'Tea, Tears and Tissues' morning tea in the library after school drop off.
This is a wonderful time to meet other new parents in our St Brigid's community.

Pope Francis Award - 2019

This year our students are once again participating in the Pope Francis Award program. This program is offered to Year 6 students and is aimed to encourage prayer and reflection through their involvement in service to the community and parish. 

All students in the program complete:
  • 20 hours of voluntary service in our parish (10 hours) and school (10 hours)
  • a Faith Formation Booklet designed to enable students to deepen their understanding of the significance of their service and embed a practice of prayer within their service
