Parents and Friends

The St Brigid’s Parents and Friends Association is an integral part in the life and culture of this school. It provides invaluable financial and practical support for the school. The ordinary meetings of the Association are usually held on a Tuesday once a term.

The Parents and Friends Association conduct their Annual General Meeting and election of the new committee at the Term 4 meeting.

Family Educator

St Brigid’s has been fortunate to have a Family Educator. The role of the Family Educator is to nurture strong and meaningful parish/parent/school relationships and to explore new models of supporting the spiritual, social and educational formation of families.

There are four domains in which the Family Educators work to do this. They are:

  1. Connecting/reconnecting/enhancing the faith life of parents
  2. Connecting/reconnecting/enhancing families to the faith life the school
  3. Connecting/reconnecting/enhancing families to the faith life of the Parish
  4. Enhancing family well-being.

The Family Educator is based in the primary school, is responsible to the Principal and works closely with the Parish Priest. Effective communication is maintained with the school leadership team, school and parish staff and parents.

The position of Family Educator will be filled at the end of 2017.
