Principal's Message

I am delighted to be able to welcome you to the St Aloysius Catholic Primary School, Cronulla home page. The school opened in 1918  so last year was very significant as we celebrated our 100 year anniversary.

Our beautiful school is staffed by highly skilled and enthusiastic educators and support staff. They are committed to ensuring that every student receives the very best opportunities possible. The latest digital technologies are very much part of the learning experience as we aim to provide a contemporary education, which develops 21st Century skills of critical thinking, collaboration, communication, cooperation and creativity for the diverse learning needs of our students. Our STEM classes are a new initiative this year and the students love coding with robotics and drones and developing products with 3D Printing.

This year we have introduced the teaching of the Chinese language (Mandarin) in classes 1 to 6 and the students are loving the experience. In April we play host to students visiting us from Hong Kong!

As educators, we acknowledge that we share the responsibility of education with parents. Learning is a partnership and we will warmly welcome your participation and support.

Our school policies and procedures, our approach to pastoral care and the way we relate to each other as members of a Christian learning community, reflect the Catholic values we hold. St Aloysius while founded by the sisters of St Joseph’s has a strong connection with the Mercy Tradition. The Mercy Charism and values of stewardship, welcome, excellence, compassion, dignity and respect, justice and service are integral to all we do and who we are at St Aloysius. Our school is a place of learning and excellence, a happy place, and a safe place. Please enjoy exploring it and feel welcome to contact the school if you require further information.

We hope to be able to keep you regularly updated via this site.
