About Us

As a Catholic school, we believe that each child's faith development is integral to their whole life and lived out every day. St Ambrose is a place of prayer and celebration. Students participate in Masses celebrated regularly throughout each term. Special feast days and other significant events are also celebrated through prayer and ritual at class, grade, stage and/or school level. The School shares a close liaison with the Parish community of St Ambrose Concord West, particularly with the Sacramental Programs and charitable works. Staff spirituality continues to be a priority within the School.

There are 7 Key Learning Areas taught at St Ambrose. Religious Education is an integral part of the K-6 curriculum and is taught throughout K-6, using the Religious Education Curriculum for the schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney.

The School implements the NSW Board of Studies Syllabus documents for the other 6 Key Learning Areas of:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Human Society and Its Environment
  • Science and Technology
  • Creative Arts
  • Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
