Meditation is found in all religious traditions. In Christianity it is the heart of the contemplative teaching of Jesus on prayer. One of the most significant developments in the world of Christian Meditation is the way in which children and young people are embracing this form of prayer. At St Anthony's we too want our students to embrace prayer. Meditation, in the Christian tradition, is often called the prayer of the heart.

Our set purpose must be to help children build a loving relationship with Jesus in the flesh and bring them to this same Jesus, present with us now – in the spirit' (Sr. Madeline Simon).

Through Christian Meditation, children are afforded an opportunity to be silent and experience God in the silence.
