Our Parents and Friends (P&F) association recognises and values the role that parents play in the education of their children, and aims to strengthen the partnership between family, school, parish and the wider community for the benefit of all our children’s overall development and learning.
The Executive of the P&F meets once each term, and there is a general meeting every term. At these meetings, relevant school-related issues are discussed, and plans for future social activities and fund-raising are made.
The parent community makes a significant financial contribution each year to the school through fund raising. The Parent Fund Raising Committee works with the Principal to discuss and evaluate various ideas and activities for fund raising and social events. The money raised is used specifically to update and expand the school's resources to enhance children's learning.
Each class is represented by class parents. Class parents are responsible for organising specific fundraisers allocated to their grade, social outings, and communication amongst class families and the school.
Class parents are a valuable asset to our St Mary-St Joseph community as they encourage a friendly and inclusive environment.
