Vision and Mission

St Mary - St Joseph Catholic Primary School is a Christ-centered community inspired by the Brigidine values of strength and gentleness. Motivated by the examples of St Mary and St Joseph, we work as a community to welcome and nourish each individual.

The staff, students, parents and parish community of St Mary - St Joseph, Maroubra are committed to:

  • Building a strong Catholic faith community that fosters empathy and forgiveness through respectful relationships

  • Providing a stimulating and challenging curriculum where student growth and achievement is nurtured, valued and celebrated

  • Stewardship of the land traditionally occupied by the Bidjigal and Gadigal people

Charter For Catholic Schools

The Archbishop’s Charter for Catholic Schools (July 2011), informs our Mission and Vision and is reflected in the directions we have set in our Strategic Improvement Plan to ensure that we are true to the privilege and the challenge of being an authentic Catholic school.
