Principal's Message

We are a Catholic systemic school located in south-western Sydney. Our school is part of the Southern Region of schools within the Archdiocese of Sydney. Our school is easily accessed off Woodville Road or the Hume Highway; we are in a tranquil part of Villawood with no passing traffic. There is plenty of parking.

We want to make sure that Sacred Heart is open to all who desire a high quality Catholic education. One of our most enduring strengths is our great diversity. We are a school community consisting of 34 different cultures, families from varying socio-economic positions, and some who do not share the Catholic faith. Everyone is welcome.

We are an excellent academic institution committed to educating students for today and tomorrow. The students consistently achieve above the State in Naplan testing and in 2016 achieved learning gains above the State mean in all four tests (one of only eighteen Sydney Catholic primary schools). All staff are highly skilled, making a positive difference to students' learning. We aim to provide the students with the knowledge, understanding, skills and values to take advantage of opportunities and to face challenges in life with confidence. In partnership with parents we strive to develop the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, moral, spiritual and well-being of all our students.

We graduate students with dignity, purpose and curiosity.
