For Students

Well Being

At St Columba’s our Pastoral Care and Behaviour Management Policies enable students to develop personal responsibility, self-discipline and respect for others. This is created in a caring school environment where respect, justice and compassion are encouraged and valued.

St Columba’s recognises the importance of the academic, social, emotional and spiritual development of each child and is committed to creating an authentic catholic school founded on the person of Jesus Christ and enlivened by the Gospel. In the implementation of our policies we acknowledge the importance of a collaborative partnership between parents, staff and students.

Student Leadership

All Year 6 students are considered leaders of the school however the formal positions are:

·         Two School Captains

·         Two Sports Captains for each colour House

The Student Representative Councillors are elected by each Primary class and senior students are elected for Kindergarten to Year 2.

Year 6 students are trained as Peer Support Leaders and facilitate this program each year.
