Curriculum

“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full” John 10:10

In line with our school vision, St Columba’s offers a contemporary curriculum that provides quality teaching and learning programs which cater for the needs of each learner. We aim to develop in our students the skills of independence, creativity, co-operative learning and critical thinking.

Religious Education

At St Columba’s the teachers work closely with parents, the parish priest and the wider school community in nurturing and developing the catholic faith of our children. The Religious Education curriculum of the Archdiocese of Sydney is implemented for Kindergarten to Year 6 and the units of work are supported by the student textbooks “To Know Worship and Love”

Students receiving the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation are taught as part of the class programs as well as participating in the parish sacramental program. School masses and prayer liturgies are an integral part of the religious education program and parents are invited to attend and celebrate.
