Principles of Early Learning

Educators of children in the early years are in the unique position of working with students who are full of possibilities, curiosity and enthusiasm. At St Catherine Labouré we acknowledge each child, their families and the life experiences they bring to school.

The Early Learner Position Paper provides a stimulus for assisting our educators at our school in preparing the groundwork for the cognitive and moral maturity of the students in our care.

Information, Communication and Technology (ICT)

The students of St Catherine Labouré are immersed in technology from Kindergarten. Our teachers are passionate and committed to providing students with rich and diverse learning experiences that align with the needs and interests of our 21st century learners. We endeavor to always keep up with the rapid pace of change in technological advances. Technology is integrated across all KLA’s. Children are given the opportunity to work together and collaborate with each other allowing a shift from a teacher centred learning environment to a student centred environment.

Our school has a contemporary, well equipped library and ICT Resource Centre where students are given access to 1:1 laptop learning opportunities in a wireless environment.
