For Students

The OLR Graduate

At the end of their primary education at OLR we hope our students will:

  • value their faith and respect the traditions of their Church
  • continue to lead and serve others
  • acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and respect their culture
  • contribute meaningfully to society
  • make thoughtful decisions
  • walk in harmony with the land and use the earth’s resources wisely
  • be ambassadors of hope
  • treat others with dignity and respect
  • be life long learners.

Student Leadership

Student leadership provides an opportunity for students to actively participate in the decision-making processes at our school. Students are encouraged to take on leadership roles in an endeavour to increase their own leadership skills and to act as effective role models for the student body. Our school believes that encouraging student leadership ensures we are developing our community leaders of the future.

The leadership team comprises School Captains, Colour House Captains, Environmental Prefects, Social Justice Prefects, Library Monitors and a Music Monitor. These roles are filled by Year 6 students. The Student Leadership Team is supported by the SRC. Two representatives from each grade, Years 1 to 6 (Kinder, Term 4) are voted in by their peers each term. Both of these student bodies meet on a weekly basis with the Assistant Principal to discuss school goals and initiatives.
