For Parents

At Our Lady of the Rosary we recognise and value the role that parents/carers play in the education of their children. We work together in partnership to strengthen the bonds between family, school, parish and the wider community for the benefit of our students’ overall development and learning.

Our Lady of the Rosary has an active Advisory Council which is a forum that consults, listens to and seeks feedback from the local school and parish community that it serves. It networks with the wider Church and Catholic educational community in the Archdiocese to optimise educational opportunities for students. The School Advisory Council makes recommendations to the Principal, supports the Principal in the implementation of the Strategic Improvement Plan, and meets the SACS Board’s requirements in relation to enrolments and finance. Membership of the Council includes five parents who commit to a two-year tenure. The Council meets once a term. The Council is a very positive and proactive group working closely with the school and parish to make our OLR community a happy and healthy environment for all our children.
