For Parents

Your child is God’s gift to you. God entrusts you with the responsibility to lead this child in a way of life which reflects goodness and truth. In Baptism your child was called by God to make a journey in faith.

By enrolling your child at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School, he/she will become aware of the action of God in this journey.

As parents, you are the first educators of your child. We at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School will assist in what you have begun at home.

The following will inform you about some school routines. Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any queries.

Parents as Partners

Parents are a vital component to a successful school. Parent involvement contributes to the building of school community, and helps to create a happy learning environment for our students.

From your home, you can assist your child by:

  • reading to and with children
  • monitoring and helping with computer work
  • supervising and encouraging homework.

At the classroom and school levels, you can assist the teachers and students, after completing induction, by:

  • helping to supervise on excursion
  • covering library books and making teaching resources
  • attending class and school events
  • volunteering in the classrooms
  • assisting in the Canteen.
