Our School

Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Primary School (OLQP) is a single stream school located in Gladesville. The school provides a quality Catholic education for boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year Six. Our Kinder and Year 1 students have significantly large, contemporary learning spaces. There is a specialist music room, along with a Learning Support room, Reading Recovery room and a well-resourced library housing a multi-purpose area including a Coffee and Chat space for parents.

Our school hours are from 8:55 am to 3:10 pm, with student supervision commencing at 8:25 am.

Before and after school care is provided on the school premises. The hours are from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

In 2019 there are currently 140 students with enrolments varying in recent times based on the changing demographics of the local area. There is a wide range of nationalities within the school community. The majority of the population is drawn from the nearby local community. A number of the students are second and third generation OLQP students.

A Student Representative Council actively represents the student body. Two members are elected each semester to represent each class from Year 2 to Year 6. Our Year 6 leaders represent Kindergarten and Year 1 children.

School Community

Father Greg Morgan, our Parish Priest  and Father Alfredo Serrano, our Assistant Priest take an active role and interest in the school along with supporting and nurturing the faith of our students, staff and families. Parents are actively involved and supportive of class and school programs. There is also a strong class parent network embedded across the community and a very active Parents and Friends Association.

Christ is the essence of our commitment to Catholic Education.
This commitment underpins the entire school curriculum and life of the school.
