Student Rights and Responsibilities

All members of the school community have rights which must be respected and responsibilities which must be carried out.

All members of the school community are responsible for their behaviour and will have to deal with the consequences of their.The foundation of our rights and responsibilities is underpinned by the National Framework for Values Education in Australian Schools.

 Rights  Responsibilities
We have the right to feel happy and be treated with understanding. We have the responsibility to treat others fairly and with understanding.
 We have the right to be treated with respect and politeness. We have the responsibility to treat others with respect and politeness.
We have the right to be safe and to be free from physical danger. We have the responsibility to play safely and not endanger anyone else.
 We have the right to expect that our property is safe. We have the responsibility to make sure that all personal belongings are labelled and that we don’t touch the property of others.
We have the right to learn. We have the responsibility to listen and behave in a manner that will not distract others from learning.
We have the right to have a pleasant and clean environment. We have the responsibility to keep our school clean and place all rubbish in the bins provided.
We have the right to express our concerns. We have the responsibility to listen to others and state the truth.
