Attendance at school is compulsory for all school-aged children.

If student is taking time off school for any reason than illness, parents/guardian are required by law to apply for exemptions.

If you wish to apply for exemption from attendance for your child or ward, the parent/guardian must complete both Form A.1 Application for Exemption from Attendance at School and Form C.1 Certificate for Exemption from Attendance at School and return to school. The enrolment registration number will be completed by the school.

The Principal will consider your application and decide whether or not to grant a 'Certificate of Exemption from Attendance at School'. Approval is considered granted when the Principal has approved and signed the exemption forms.

If approved, the signed C.1 form will then be returned to the parent/guardian. This form should be carried whilst travelling/at any event the student may be involved in during the exemption period, as the parent/guardian may be asked to produce it as proof the student has permission to be absent from school.
