For Parents

Parental Involvement

Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School encourages and actively supports a positive, supportive partnership between home and school. The involvement of parents within the school is highly valued.

Parents are invited to help in classrooms with activities such as reading, mathematics groups, Computer Technology, Art and Craft activities as well as other group work. We also encourage parents to help in our school library covering books, through our CLAG (Cutting Laminating & Gluing) group.

At the beginning of each year, parents or grandparents who would like to help as a volunteer in the school must attend the Parent Helpers Workshop and ensure that the Volunteer/Student Declaration Form is completed online at Working with Children Check and submitted to the school.

Parental involvement is actively engaged at Holy Spirit Parents are partners in the learning process through involvement in welcoming and hospitality, ‘Know About Our School’ Programs, workshops, forums, classroom helpers, working bees, social justice and sacred space groups, book-covering, educational games, student support programs, and the Advisory Parent Group, and Finance and Enrolment Committees.
