School Musical 2018
CONGRATULATIONS ON A FANTASTIC SHOW!!!
LIVE @ THE ENMORE THEATRE
Wednesday 19 September
Fr John Therry School has a strong history of excellence in the performing arts, having produced whole school musicals for the past twenty years. Each year we showcase the talents of our students in music, dance and drama through the experience of performing at a live theatre.

Our Musicals are inclusive of all students with all children participating from Kindergarten to Grade 6 each year. Musicals are produced totally in house with staff volunteering their time, energy and expertise.

Our first production was of 'Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' in 1999 in St Augustine's Church. The following year we held an Infants and Primary Musical at Balmain Town Hall on the same evening and continued to do so for a number of years.

As the school grew the Infants and Primary musical was performed on separate evening and eventually moving venues to St Scholastica's College Hall, where the capacity and facilities allowed us to continue to raise the quality of performances and produce these to a very high standard for a primary school. Performances continued to be over two night with Infants and Primary on different evenings.

In 2014 our Primary and Infants musicals were performed on the same evening again, however this time graduating to the Enmore Theatre. The new venue allowed us to meet the capacity of the entire school and have all students perform together and watch each others performance. Eventually the capacity and facilities at the Enmore allowed us to combine the Infants and Primary musical in 2016, performing 'Peter Pan Jr' as a whole school for the first time since our very first musical. This practice now continues and this year's performance of 'Singin in the Rain Jr' was our best production to date with the quality of the singing, acting and dancing a joy to watch.
