Balmain Art & Craft Show

The Balmain Art and Craft Show was established in 1996 by Principal, Kathleen Neil and parents to support the newly amalgamated Fr John Therry Catholic Primary School, as a fund raiser to provide additional learning resources to what was then, a very small school, in its second year, of just under 100 students.

The show takes place on the first weekend in November in the historical grounds and buildings of our school and parish. The event has continued to grow in popularity and is where Sydney art lovers come together for the Inner Wests premier art and craft buying experience.

The show brings together Australian and International artists, showcasing an extensive range of affordable and quality art, from contemporary to traditional, Indigenous works to emerging artists, to investment pieces.

Craft and design galleries provide unique selection of gifts and homewares from some of Australia's best designers. The show is not just restricted to art and craft with other activities including Silent Auctions, fabulous Kids Activities and cafe - there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Due to building works at the school the Balmain Art and Craft Show was placed on hold for 2019 and a Christmas Wonderland Fete was held in place of the show with great success.  Due to COVID-19 the event will again be placed on hold and the committee will be meeting late 2020 to plan for next year's event.
