Welcome

Welcome to Blessed Sacrament primary school, Clifton Gardens. We are a single stream, co-educational primary school for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.  We are a Catholic school, within the educational system run by the Archdiocese of Sydney.

Our school motto is “Learn, Love, Live”.

At Blessed Sacrament, we strive to promote excellence in education and develop a life-long love of learning. We do this by providing high-quality teaching and by offering our students supportive and challenging opportunities that enrich their learning. All of our teachers have been trained in Gifted Education Naturally Embedded. This is a program within the Catholic school system to cater for the particular learning, social and emotional needs of gifted students.  In addition, we offer specialist programs for gifted and talented children as well as programs to support children with other special needs.

Our children can also participate in extra-curricular activities at school (either before school or at lunchtime) such as the Chess Club, robotics, piano lessons, tennis and skipping.

We understand the importance of enabling children to experience success and grow in confidence and independence. A real benefit of being a smaller school is that we can offer all of our students' meaningful leadership roles and other opportunities, such as debating, being in the school musical and running our assemblies. We watch our Stage 3 (Year 5 and 6) students, in particular, relish these opportunities to have responsibility within the school. It’s an important way that we can help them transition to High School.

Our students enjoy a strong sense of warmth and belonging in our school. It’s a nurturing environment in which every child is well known and supported. We respect the dignity and value of each of our students and their families and we are committed to building an effective working partnership between home and school.  We are all part of the Blessed Sacrament community and work together, for the benefit of the children.

We admire the principles of Reggio Emilia education and in particular that the learning environment is the “third teacher”. To this end, our school offers a very comfortable and beautiful physical environment for the children. The classrooms are large and well equipped, having been extensively renovated in recent years.  We utilise Information Communication Technology to maximise learning in our classrooms and our outdoor spaces are in the process of being renovated to support creative play-based learning. Stage 1 of that project was completed earlier this year.

We aim to maintain a high-quality Catholic education that is relevant to the challenges of our times and providing a future filled with hope for our children.

We warmly invite you to contact us, if you would like to inquire further.
