At Home Learning

Welcome to a new year, unlike any other! This 2020-2021 school year, I will be paired up with Mrs. Healey to teach 4th Grade ELA/SS. I am looking forward to getting to know all of our new students and am eager to get back to learning. Even though this year will look different from any other year I have taught, I will continue to strive to meet the needs of all students in a warm, caring environment!

There are several links under the More tab above, if you click on Helpful Websites.

Here are some videos you can view that introduce myself and our 4th grade team of teachers:

Career

I graduated with a BA in Education and immediately began teaching in Maryland where I stayed for three years until I got married. Then when I moved to New Jersey, I found a teaching job mid-year in Philadelphia. I stayed there for another seven years and proceeded to get my Masters as a Reading Specialist. About this time my second child was born, so I made the decision to take time to stay home and raise my little ones. Two years ago I went back to teaching and boy, was I ready! I worked in West Deptford for two years, filling in for year long maternity leaves. I am so excited to be returning to Harker for my third year here!

Personal Life

I have been married to my best friend for 15 years. We have two children together. My son, True, is going into 7th grade and my daughter, Finley, is going into 4th. We love spending our weekends going on daytrips to local historical or fun places. Our dog, River, is an old pitbull who loves sleeping and snuggling. My family often joins me for school functions, so you may have the opportunity to meet them (except River...she'll be snoozing).
