In 2012, Kim Doyle, principal of SWS, and 1976 St. Wenceslaus Alum, John Chromy, met to discuss the future of St. Wenceslaus School, the school’s value to the parish and community and the concern of continued funding for the Catholic school system in general. Kim and John discussed the reason to raise the funds for an endowment; to make it possible for more families to send their children to a quality Catholic school by providing tuition assistance and scholarships. John Chromy, with his many years of experience fundraising at Special Olympics and CHF International, reached out to a number of alumni and friends of St. Wenceslaus School to see if the alumni of SWS would be interested in financially supporting a program. To no one’s surprise the alumni stated enthusiastically, “How can we help?” With that statement in mind, a feasibility group was formed and has met multiple times since Sept. 2012.

Here is the Great News, A new 501-3c was formed and is called the “St. Wenceslaus School Endowment Fund”! The funds will be used exclusively for the needs at St. Wenceslaus School to help increase SWS enrollment, raise the level of education and support future key technical needs of SWS!

The key part of the plan will be the ability of St. Wenceslaus School alumnus to support this fantastic cause. Many SWS alum have begun committing monies to St. Wenceslaus School Endowment Fund, and a group of volunteers will be reaching out to the alumni of SWS to help build a successful endowment. If you would like to support this fund immediately, you can do so by simply contacting our SW School office, or clicking this link to donate online. Thank you for your support!
